Precondition:
1. Please be sure that the hardware connection is correct and tight.
2. Make sure the firmware is the up to date.
3. If the Internet is not stable, please contact your Internet service provider to do some troubleshooting first and make sure the Internet line(DSL or cable) is good.
4. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the router to your computer. Check if the Internet is stable and carry out a test.

Symptom:
Why is sometimes the wireless connection of my smart devices unstable?

Cause:
In most cases, the cause of the problem may be due to the lack of compatibility between the device and the router.
If you happen to meet this problem, the following methods may help.

Solution:
1. For Android devices:
(1) Please upgrade the Android system to the latest.
Usually, the newest system will bring the latest drivers of the hardware, including the wireless adapter, so the network performance of the device will be improved.
(2) Forget the network and reconnect to it.
(3) Set “Connect Automatically” for the network.

2. For IOS devices:
(1) First please upgrade the IOS system to the latest.
Usually, the newest system will bring the latest drivers of the hardware, including the wireless adapter, so the network performance of the device will be improved.
(2) Reset Network Settings for your IOS devices.
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
(3) Reconnect to the network and set “Auto-join” for it.

3. For Windows PC or laptop
(1) Upgrade the driver of the wireless adapter to the latest.
Check your network card model first, and then go to the manufacture’s website for the latest driver version.
(2) Configure the wireless adapter in active mode.
Step 1: Open the Control Panel
You can type control panel in the search bar at the lower left of the screen and press Enter to open the control panel.
Step 2: Go to Network Connections
Go to Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
Select Change adapter settings on the left.
Step 4: Turn off the Power-saving mode for the wireless adapter.
Right Click WiFi Connection and select Properties.
Then click Configure.
Select Power Management, do not to tick “Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power”, and click OK finally.

4. For Mac OS PC or laptop.
Try to upgrade the driver of the wireless adapter to the latest.

5. Change the DHCP DNS settings.
To get a faster WiFi experience, you can try to change the DNS of DCHP server.
Here we take Speedefy K7 for example. Go to System Settings > LAN Settings, enable DNS settings, and manually type in Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server.
Below is a short list of commonly used public DNS servers. Secondary DNS servers can be added to add a layer of redundancy.
