How to upgrade the firmware on the Speedefy routers?

This article will guide you to upgrade the firmware on Speedefy WiFi routers step by step. (Online Upgrade & Local Upgrade)

Note:

1) Please verify the hardware version of your device. Wrong firmware upgrading may damage your device and void the warranty.

2) Do NOT turn off the power or cut down the Ethernet cable during upgrade process.

3) It is recommended to upgrade the firmware via wired connection between your Speedefy router and your computer.

Online Upgrade

Method 1: Via Speedy WiFi App

(1) Download Speedy WiFi App. It is available on App Store and Google Play.

(2) Launch Speedy WiFi App.

(3) On the Tool page, click System Update icon.

Then the App will automatically search for the latest firmware. Upgrade if there is a new version.

Method 2: Via Web Management Page

(1) Launch a browser and visit 192.168.3.1 or speedefywifi.com

(2) Go to System Settings > Firmware Upgrade.

Note: The web management interface may vary from different models, but the operation logic is the same.

(3) Select Online Upgrade. Upgrade if there is a new version.

Local Upgrade

(1) Download the firmware corresponding to the Speedefy router model. The download links are as follows. (Stay tuned for more models)

Note: Wrong firmware upgrading may damage your Speedefy router and void the warranty.

(2) Launch a browser and visit 192.168.3.1 or speedefywifi.com

(3) Go to System Settings > Firmware Upgrade.

Note: The web management interface may vary from different models, but the operation logic is the same.

(4) Select Local Upgrade, and click Choose File. Select the firmware file of your Speedefy router and click Upgrade Now. Wait a few minutes and the router will automatically upgrade.
